Hi, I have placed an order on the on-line shop for the HRM belt on the 26th of Aug. and according to the company’s delivery information, it should be here by the 3rd of Sept. at the latest. It is still not here (by here I mean Athens-Greece)and I tried to contact the company by e-mail and the only thing I got is that they are sorry for the delay and it will arrive on the 11th of Sept, but still didn’t got it. In the next e-mail they reassured me it will eventually and finally arrive today, but I don’t see it coming yet. Is there anyone who had faced similar problems upon delivery? Any info will be helpful…

Hi, please contact our support and we’ll help you: http://support.sports-tracker.com/customer/portal/emails/new

I have a Nokia N8 with the old HRM.
Is it safe to update Symbian to Belle? Will ST work, will the HRM work?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Yes it should work without any problems.

  3. Pim

So if I understand correctly, the Sports Tracker app for iPhone 4S will be compattible with the Polar H7 (BT smart 4.0) soon?

When do you expect the app release that will support the Polar H7?

  4. Hasse

Hi. Sorry for late reply. No, both Wahoo blue and Polar H7 works fine on Android phones with BT 4.0.
So, if your belt does not work on android, can I get a Polar H7 instead and use with your app?

Gostei do aplicativo mais muito mal sei falar em português, quando estol treinando aquela voz que fica comentando o percusso e a km não da pra entender,é tudo em inglês muito mal sei português. mais mesmo assim é muito interessante valeu.

  6. Mihalis

May i ask if i buy a cheaper one heart rate belt would it fit and work with the app correctly? Thank you

I have a Zephyr HxM BT – Does Sport Tracker work with that (on Android)?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, no it doesn’t work with our app. Only our own hrm1 and 2 belts as well as the Polar Wearlink with Bluetooth work with our app.

Which hr should I purchase as I have an iPhone 3 but will upgrade to an iPhone 4 or 5 in 6 months ?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, do you have iPhone 3GS as our app doesn’t work with iPhone3. If you have that, the only one that’s working with it is the ST hrm2, that’s also the only belt for iPhone 4. For iPhone 4S and 5 we also have the smart belt, but if you’re not sure you’ll get one of those, I recommend the hrm2. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  9. Nick

I have the original HRM which seems to work pretty well with my Nokia 808. It would really be nice if the app was updated though…it has been a really long time since Symbian users saw any new features or improvements.

I understand Symbian isn’t a popular platform for developers but as a ST customer for a number of years and an owner of a HRM, how can the sports-tracker team convince me to continue to invest in their company if the promise of support coming the other way is absent? Also, what benefits, if any, does the new HRM have over the original one? If it’s being used with the Symbian Sports Tracker app which hasn’t been updated since September 2011, would I even notice any differences?

Finally, I went for a walk earlier whilst wearing my HRM. When I returned home, I noticed an X on the map on part of my route. I’ve never noticed one before and on checking previous walks and runs, I can’t find any on old workouts. Could someone explain what it means please?

    Thanks :)

    1. Nick

Just realised the X on the map probably indicates an incoming call.

    2. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi Nick, unfortunately at the moment at least, we don’t have resources to update our Symbian app. However, we haven’t made a decision not to support it anymore, but at least not in the very near future.
There aren’t any major differences between the old ST hrm1 and the new hrm2. Of course new is always new, but when it comes to features, the old one has them all:).

  10. Andrew

Hi, any news on my heart rate monitor? I ordered and paid for it on the 23rd October but have heard nothing more since the original delay email and still have not received it. If the wait was going to be this long you really should have refunded my money until it was ready to ship.

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi Andrew, sorry if you haven’t heard from us, you should have received further notice. The shipment should have left our offices yesterday. We’re very sorry for the delay!

    2. Stevo

Andrew, have you received your hart rate monitor in the mean time? I am still waiting form the delivery and the guys from ST told me that it was send on Dec, 7. That is really strange!

      1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi Stevo, we finally received the last batch of monitors yesterday and started shipping right away, so you’ll get your hrm latest next week. We’re really sorry for the delay!

  11. Manuel

You want us to buy a new heart rate monitor for use with sports tracker? Until there is no stable version of sports tracker and the servers are down again and again, only a few numbers of trackies will buy HRM for now.
Stop doing ads for HRM and hurry in roll out new (beta) version of sports tracker on mobile and new (beta) flashfree website.
A stable app and stable website will be the best ad for selling HRM.

PS: I already bought HRM for use with ST on SGS2. I like the app very much but i am waiting for an update for a long time now. Other apps (ie endomondo) have new features which i am honestly missing in ST too.
One year ago, when bought new SGS2, i made a choice between endo and ST and i decided for ST. And i dont want to recognice that i did wrong decision… But now its your turn.

PPS: If there will be a stable version of ST with cool new features and a flash-free website which allows exports and statistics, i would be willing for spend on a “PRO” version too. And maybe HRM-buyer will gain a PRO-Version for free? :-)

  12. Glen

Hi, ordered and paid for HR monitor on 29th october. Shipping started in November but haven’t received mine yet? Any reason/delays?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, unfortunately the shipping has been delayed because of delays at the factory. We have sent emails to everyone, might have gone to the spam folder? We have now received the SMART belts and have started shipping yesterday. We’re still waiting for the first batch of the hrm2 belts which should arrive next week to our offices. Sorry for the delay!

  13. hasse

As far as I know, ALL other BT 4 monitors support all Android phones that have BT 4.

  14. Jorden

Why has the shipment of the HRM2 been delayed and why was it communicated so late?

  15. francwyz

have HRM for IPHONE already started shipping

  16. loris

Salve io ho acquistato la cintura per un nokia e5, tuttto ok, e’ solo che ogni tanto non mi rileva i bpm, canbiato la batteria ma delle volte, proprio no ne vuol sapere, sapete darmi un suggerimento?Grazie

  17. Dror

    Hi,

I’ve been an avid user of Sports Tracker with my Android phone, and the “regular” BT HRM.
I had to switch to iPhone4S (work related … not to open a pro/con discussion) which doesn’t allow it, so I have been using with the iPhone4S the Polar H7 HRM with other (not to mention here) Apps.
To be honest – I simply like Sports Tracker, and will be more then happy to move back to using it – will the new iPhone4S App release support the Polar H7 HRM ?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, we’ll be releasing the new version in a couple of week’s time. The new version should work with your hrm.

  18. Tringe

Do you recommend HRM Smart or HRM 2 for iPhone 4s? (I understand both work with this phone)

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, it’s more of a matter of preference but I would choose Smart for 4S as you don’t need to charge the battery.

  19. Simonthy

I wanted to buy HRM since day one(1 yr ago) I start using ST. Only happy to heard that recently there is a solution use with Iphone. But also very sad that not able to deliver to Singapore cause licence issue. How long I have to wait.

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, unfortunately at the moment we don’t know if we’ll be able to add Singapore on the list.

  20. Ivan

    Hi,

I already have the Polar BT strap that works with the Nokia 5800 (symbian). Will it also work with the new Iphone app which supports HRM ?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, no the old belts won’t work with iPhone unfortunately.

  21. DrDanielsson

Finally a heart rate monitor from iPone!

I’m buying an iPhone 5 this week and will of course buy a heart rate monintor for Sports Tracker. I have no intention in leaving iPhone in the nearest 10 years or so. As I’ve understood, both “SMART” and “HRM2” will do the job for iPhone 5. However, which one should I choose? Which are the pros and cons?

    Greetings from Stockholm, Sweden

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hey, I think it’s more of a matter of preference. HRM2 has a rechargeable battery which lasts around 30-40 hours while Smart has a replaceable battery that lasts up to 1,5 years (you can buy a new one in most supermarkets). I would personally buy the Smart, but it’s up to you:). Let us know if you have any specific questions.

      1. Kirb

Which is the newer model – the HRM2 or the SMART? Is the battery the only difference between the two?

        1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, both are brand new. The smart works only with iPhone 4S and 5. If you have one of those, I recommend that one.

  22. Ari-Pekka

Cool, which of these will work with WP8?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

News on WP support will follow later.

  23. janne

When you will have Windows (Lumia) version support?

  24. Joel

Will the old version of heart rate monitor work with the new iphone 4 app?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

No, it has a different build. Only the hrm2 will work with iPhone4.

  25. Cristian Perez

What happens with iPhone 4? I was waiting for this new heart rate monitor and suddenly I discover it’s not compatible with iPhone 4… :(((

Are you working on support for iPhone 4? There are several million iPhone 4’s out there, and in fact it can still be bought.

Btw, you should update this FAQ question: http://support.sports-tracker.com/customer/portal/articles/416177-does-the-st-hrm-work-with-iphone- (you’re welcome)

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hey, yes we haven’t forgotten you guys with iPhone 4, we’re working on a solution. News should be out soon. Thanks for pointing out the error on the support site:).

    2. jussi

Cristian, our newly launched HRM2 does support iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS too!

      Check it out here:
      http://shop.sports-tracker.com/front-page-featured-products/heart-rate-monitor-2.html

      1. Cristian Perez

        That’s great news, just pre-ordered it :)
And you need to re-update the FAQ question, btw.

  26. julmass

Android users I have a polar BT strap which works fine with Samsung G S3. I’m waiting for speed and cadence via BT. C’mon ST it would be so easy. Currently only available on that other OS :( using Wahoo and strava.

  27. Fabio Rebelato

That’s official: ST is now officially Apple’s bitch! Hundreds of working hours to make sure apple fanboys can use have the website flash-free so their precious iPad can access it. Now, a new app, BT 4.0 support, bells, whistles, all the crap.

Meanwhile, Symbian version hasn’t changed since September 22nd 2011, does not work with Nokia 808 Pureview and ST does not seem to care… at all… Maintenance mode: Ok, we will maintain the app the way it is hahahaha

That’s me… 316 workouts tracked so far… Once active ST evangelist… now officially dumped.

    1. Christophe

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:World_Wide_Smartphone_Sales_Share.png explains it all. If anything Android will be the platform to focus on, but iOS development is easier I guess.

    2. Keirux

hey, I use the first polar belt wearlink with ST on the 808, works flawlessly!!!!!

      1. Faio Rebelato

The belt works… the app doesn’t… unless you don’t need the gps function or you think it’s kind of cool to be forced to open Nokia Drive first and an app that crashes every single time you hit the stop button. Thanks to autosave, your workout is not lost, but to say ST works on 808 Pureview is a joke.

  28. vitor vale

And what about the price? How much does it cost?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

79.90 euros incl shipping if you order before 24th of October.

  29. Richard (Holland)

    Hello,

I’ve already got a bluetooth 4.0 HR belt from Wahoo. Will this also work with the ST app?

    Greetings from Holland
    Richard

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

      Normally yes.

      1. hasse

What do you mean with “normally”? Are there exceptions?

        1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Haha, sorry that’s a French way to say things when you’re not sure:). It means we haven’t tested it, but it should work.

      2. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

That is with the iPhone app, not the others at the moment.

  30. Alvin

Hello I’m from Singapore! Would like to get one for my ST app but its not shipping to Singapore.

I have got a lot of my friends onto ST, been contemplating to move to wahoo cos they support HRM. Now I’m stucked.

Please include Singapore as one of the shipping locations too. Cheers

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Sorry we don’t have the certificate for Singapore:(. Normally the Wahoo strap should work with our app once we get the app update out.

      1. Pete K

I assume the Polar BT 4.0 strap will work, too?

        1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

We haven’t tested other belts, so only ours is promised to work with our app. But yes, in theory at least others should work as well.

  31. hasse

Is this Bluetooth 4.0? If so, It is compatible with Android devices bith BT 4.0 too, right? RIGHT?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Yes it is but currently it’s only promised to work with iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. http://support.sports-tracker.com/customer/portal/articles/776097-which-phones-are-compatible-with-the-sports-tracker-hrm-smart-belt-

      1. hasse

OK, thanks – but I have an Android with BT 4.0 (BT smart). I want to buy this belt, but not until you tell me that it is compatible. When will you know?

        1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

We’ll try to add the support later when it’s technically possible. That’s all news I have about it at this point.

        2. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi again, which Android phone do you have?

          1. hasse

Hi Katja. I have the HTC ONE S.

            1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

              Thanks!

          2. hasse

I’m getting the Nexus 4 now, it has BT 4.0 too.
Will your BT 4.0 belt be compatible ?

            1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, we can only promise the Smart belt works with iPhone 4s and 5. Currently we don’t know if it will be possible to add support for Android later on. The hrm2 works with Android as well.

          3. hasse

OK, a good idea would perhaps be for one of the employees at SportsTracker to borrow an android phone with BT4.0 from somebody ( I’m guessing you all have iPhones ). And then test if BT 4.0 works on android. And then tell us Yes/No.

            1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, of course we have several Android phones already. But it’s currently not possible to add support for technical reasons. For now, it doesn’t work with it and we can’t promise that it will in the future either. As far as I know, none of the BT 4 monitors support Android phones at the moment. Please tell me if I’m wrong. Cheers!

          4. hasse

Well, ás far as I know, ALL other BT 4 monitors support all Android phones that have BT 4…..

          5. hasse

            Like wahoo blue, Polar h7…..

So, my next question is: Does your android app support bt 4?

            1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Wahoo and Polar H7 are compatible with iPhone 4S and 5 only. As is ours. So no, our belt is not compatible with Android.

          6. Hasse

            Hi.
No, both Wahoo blue and Polar H7 works fine on Android phones with BT 4.0.
So, if your belt does not work on android, can I get a Polar H7 instead and use with your app?

            edit:comment duplicate

            1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, no the app doesn’t support smart belts yet. We’ll inform once we’re able to add it.
