Meet the Team – Katarina from Customer Support

Last time we brought you an interview with Petra, our Operations Specialist.

Today, we are bringing you a glimpse of what we talked about with Katarina von Konow, Customer Support Manager at Sports Tracker, a woman who is having conversations with Sports Tracker users every day, making their experiences even better.

st_team_katarinaPlease tell us your story. Who is Katarina and what does she enjoy doing aside from her daily job?

When I’m not working as a Customer Support Manager and when I’m not with my family, I spend my free time mostly in the gym. It gives me the feeling of both mental and physical balance and it’s something I like doing. Some time ago I was also a part of multinational rugby team. It was a rare and interesting sport to train, especially for a woman, but I enjoyed it a lot.



What do you do at Sports Tracker and how does your day usually look like?

I’ve been working at Sports Tracker since 2013 and all this time working closely with our users. My days are filled with customer­ oriented tasks such as replying to customers’ requests and helping to solve issues that need special attention.

On the other hand, I’m in constant discussions with the app development team, giving them users’ feedback and reporting any possible bigger issues. I also track and record if there’s any major fix that needs to be made. This is very important for the continuous development of the application and happiness of our users.

What is something that really motivates you to get up every morning and do your job?

One of the biggest motivations I have is to make things run as smoothly as possible. My job is a link between customers and the company itself. I’m happy to go to work in the morning because I can bring structure and order and make people’s lives easier.

What is your favorite thing about your job and working here?

A great thing about my job and my team is our team spirit and atmosphere. It’s really easy to work when you know you can fully rely on your colleagues, ask them question if you aren’t sure about something and always know you’ll have support.

If you were to recommend working here to your friend, what would you say?

I would definitely recommend working here to my friends because this is the place full of opportunities. Furthermore, it’s a place where you’ll be surrounded not only by people from different countries but also people who have great past experiences and backgrounds and from whom you can learn a lot.

What kind of people you enjoy working with?

I enjoy working with people who are not too formal but rather easy going yet effective and who can get things done.

We would like to encourage people to fail and try better next time and also to prove we’re all humans who make mistakes and learn from them. Therefore, what was your biggest mistake so far?

As so many people out there, I wasn’t always asking enough questions. Sometimes some situations could’ve ran much more smoothly, but didn’t, because we didn’t ask enough questions and communicate clearly.
